Welcome Systems Ltd has spent the past 30 years delivering the very latest in affordable online booking systems for hotels, guesthouses and B&Bs across the UK. Now employing 11 staff at its Moulton Park offices in Northamptonshire, business is looking brighter than ever.
Welcome’s MD, John Jones, looks after the day-to-day operations. He explains:
“Our cloud-based ‘software-as-a-service’ model moves hotels away from clumsy, on-premises systems into a world full of possibilities. Using the Welcome Anywhere property management system, hoteliers run every aspect of their operations dynamically, from setting intelligent rate strategies through to connecting with online channels, sending out guest communications and providing really fast bookings management.
“Not only do we provide front desk solutions for accommodation businesses, but our servers also play a big part in handling the bookings between the Internet and the hotel. We’re accredited by some big names, such as Booking.com and Trip Advisor, and so far this year have processed over £75 million worth of bookings to and from the hotels and online travel agencies.
“We’ve had a great year in which the company has really started to grow. Thanks to becoming part of Valsoft Corporation in Montreal, Canada, we’re investing more than ever in new systems, tools and people. That means we have a global-ready product with complete distribution channels via our sister companies in the US, Canada and Australia.
“Looking to the future, Welcome Systems anticipates further demand for its services worldwide as we continue to provide ever innovating software designed to deliver a fantastic experience for savvy hoteliers and their guests.
One happy customer is, Chris Wright, Retail Training Manager at Wadworth, an independent family brewer that was established in 1875. Operating an impressive portfolio of managed and tenanted houses, the Wiltshire-based company currently has over 200 properties spread across the South West of England.
“The thing I love about Welcome Anywhere is its ease-of-use, which is a vital element in rolling out the system to all 25 properties,” he explains. “As you’d guess, there’s a lot of training involved and for our managers they want to spend as little time dealing with IT as possible. They need to be in front of our customers delivering a great guest experience.”
Chris believes Welcome Anywhere took away the ‘fear’ of a system change, and he quickly discovered that it could be integrated into the Wadworth teams’ daily lives without any issues at all.
