Superheroes and fancy dress fans descended on The Latimer Arts College in Kettering today (Friday 13 November 2015) to help Children in Need.
Students and staff at the school dressed up as characters including Superman, GI Joe and V for Vendetta in support of Children In Need’s ‘Be a Hero’ campaign, or donated £1 each to wear mufti.
They also organised a variety of fun activities and stands, all paid for with their own money, to raise funds for the charity.
Stuart Wall, PE teacher and head of Castle House at The Latimer Arts College, explained: “Each House at the College has responsibility for a different charity and Castle House’s is Children in Need.
“The students have had lots of fun today organising a donut dash, marshmallow frenzy, sweet shop, haunted house, tackling ‘keepy uppies’ and throwing wet sponges at staff. We’re very proud of them all and hope to have raised over £400.”
