Bishop Stopford School in Kettering has gained a coveted ‘Gold Investors in People Award’ after demonstrating exceptional levels of people management and staff development.
The IIP Gold Award is achieved by only 1% of accredited organisations UK-wide, and follows an ongoing process of developing employees.
Bishop Stopford Head Teacher, Margaret Holman, explained:
“We are delighted to receive this nationally-recognised award.
“We have a superb team, and the rigorous Investors in People standard has enabled us to develop a best practice plan and build upon our successes in staff development.”
IIP Assessor Robert Haywood, added:
“Bishop Stopford supports learning in the wider community, acts as a responsible employer and supports a wide range of charity work.
“There is a strong culture of professional learning, and the Head Teacher has the support of enthusiastic governors, a leadership team and staff body who share her ambition for continual improvements.”
