08 Feb Winvic secures place on £800m Eastern Highways Alliance Framework
Winvic Construction Ltd, a leading main contractor specialising in the design and delivery of private and public sector construction and civil engineering projects, has announced its successful appointment to the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework (EHF4), securing inclusion on all three Lots over a potential six-year cycle.
The EHF4 framework, valued at up to £800 million, is being managed by Central Bedfordshire Council and encompasses a collaborative group of ten further local authorities across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Luton, Norfolk, Peterborough, Southend-on-Sea, Suffolk, and Thurrock.
The framework’s objective is to enhance infrastructure development, streamline project costs, and optimise resource sharing. During its term orders may also be placed by Town and Parish Councils within the EHA4 as well as the Lead Authorities.
Winvic’s inclusion across Lots 1, 2, and 3, positions the company to undertake a comprehensive set of schemes, ranging from highway improvements, bridge and structural works, subways, culverts and retaining walls, through to town centre enhancements, drainage systems, canal works, and waste management facilities.
This achievement, notes Winvic, reinforces the company’s position as a trusted partner in delivering high-quality civil engineering and infrastructure projects across the East of England.
Rob Cook, Managing Director – Civils & Infrastructure at Winvic, commented: “Securing a place on all three Lots of the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework is a significant milestone for Winvic.
“Our team’s expertise in delivering complex, multi-faceted infrastructure projects aligns seamlessly with the goals of EHF4.
“We are excited to collaborate closely with alliance members to deliver vital improvements that will benefit both local communities and the region’s wider transportation network.
“Winvic’s commitment to safety, sustainability and innovative construction practices ensures we are well-positioned to execute these projects efficiently while adding long-lasting value.”
A spokesperson for Central Bedfordshire Council, lead authority for the EHF4 framework, added: “We are delighted to welcome Winvic Construction Ltd to the Eastern Highways Alliance Framework.
“Their proven track record in infrastructure delivery and expertise in sustainability will perfectly support the framework’s vision to enhance public infrastructure across our member authorities.
“The involvement of capable partners like Winvic will be essential in delivering ambitious infrastructure projects that will shape the future of the region.”
