27 Aug Al Akhawayn University business dean appointed to AACSB Advisory Council
Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco, has announced that Lakshmi Goel, Dean of the University’s School of Business Administration, has been appointed by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) as a member of its Advisory Council in the Middle East and North Africa.
AACSB is a global, non-profit association, connecting educators, students and businesses to create the next generation of leaders, and elevate the quality and impact of business schools worldwide.
Since 1916, AACSB has been providing quality assurance, business education intelligence, and learning and development services to over 1,900 member organisations, and more than 1,000 accredited business schools worldwide.
Lakshmi’s appointment recognises her achievements and commitment to furthering standards of business education in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and beyond.
Lakshmi comments:
“Business schools in the MENA regions have to keep pace with demanding economic environments by providing students equipped with the very latest digital skills and teamworking capabilities.
“This includes being able to communicate effectively across cultures, speak multiple languages, and hit the ground running as tech-savvy workers able to manage the rapid growth in e-commerce.
“I am excited to take on this position with AACSB, and to be working with colleagues representing other business schools in the Middle East and North Africa.
